All Pollsmoor escapees back behind bars

The Department of Correctional Services has confirmed that all six suspects,
who escaped from Pollsmoor Prison in the Western Cape
on Sunday, have now been rearrested.
The six convicts escaped from the facility’s Medium B section using a metal piece from one of the prisoners’ bed to break through the bars on the windows .
Police arrested five out of the six suspect on Monday.
The department of correctional services has confirmed that the last remaining suspect was rearrested in Cape Town on Tuesday.
“I hereby confirm that all six of the escaped convicts have been rearrested this afternoon. All of them are back in custody,” says Western Cape Correctional Services spokesperson Simphiwe Xako.
