Alleged serial murderer & alleged rapist expected in court

A Katlehong man linked to serial murders and another from Tshwane linked to serial rapes and house robberies are due to appear at Palm Ridge and Pretoria Magistrate Courts on Monday.
The alleged serial rapists was arrested by members of the Tshwane Central Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual offences Unit in Silverton last week.
They are linked to other cases in the same area of Silverton, Lyttelton, Atteridgeville and Mokopane in Limpopo.
Most of the cases, 17 incidents, were committed in Atteridgeville since 2014.
"Members of the FCS had been working tirelessly to track down the suspect since forensic evidence has been linking him to these cases. He was involved in other two cases in Silverton during February this year and another case in Mokopane during 2013" said Gauteng Police Spokesman Colonel Lungelo Dlamini.
The Kahlehong alleged serial murderer has been linked to nine murder cases, and four attempted murder cases committed in Katlehong since March this year.
The man was arrested in July in Rondebult during a shoot out with police who were following up information to arrest him.
He was found in possession of two firearms. During further investigation it had been established that he was involved in serial murders in the same are of Katlehong. In one of the incidents, he attacked the family of four and a 9 year –old child was killed during May this year.
When the suspect appears in Palm Ridge Magistrate Court, he will be facing charges of murder, attempted murder and possession of unlicenced firearms.
