ANC calls for 'appropriate action' at Eskom amid stage 6 power cuts
ANC spokesperson Pule Mabe says the appropriate action will need to be taken at Eskom to help bring the country out of the energy crisis.
He addressed reporters in Johannesburg after the power utility announced stage 6 load shedding on Wednesday.
Eskom says more generation units have broken and there is a need to conserve diesel supplies.
The stage 6 planned power cuts will be until further notice.
Mabe says there are various factors that must be considered.

"When you talk about human capital, do you have sufficient capacity to be able to deal with this? Infrastructure-wise, is it ailing? Investment-wise, are you putting the right investment?
"On the energy mix, are you making sure that you are really applying what is required on energy mix to be able to give the people of South Africa the certainty they need.
"Because what South Africans need is that if it is a problem of human capital, if you don't have the right resources move out those and bring others who can do the work. If the problem is ailing infrastructure, get the right infrastructure."
