ANC hails Northern Cape Education MEC following sudden death

The African National Congress (ANC) has described the late Northern Cape Education MEC MacCollen Jack as a committed public servant.
Jack, who tested positive for Covid-19 last week, passed away in a local hospital on Wednesday.
He became Education MEC last year and before that, he served as the MEC for Transport, Safety and Liaison in 2013, Health in 2014, Finance, Economic Development and Tourism in 2016.
He also served on the provincial executive committee and provincial working committee of the ANC in the Northern Cape.

ANC spokesperson Pule Mabe says Jack was a selfless public servant.
“The best tribute we can pay in honour of this outstanding servant of the people is to continue to put the interests of our people first.
“We convey our heartfelt condolences to his family, the entire membership of the ANC and the people of the Northern Cape.”
