ANC's no-confidence motion in Ekurhuleni ‘ploy to regain access to money’

The multi-party coalition in Ekurhuleni has slammed the ANC's planned motion of no confidence in Mayor Tania Campbell as “nothing but a ploy to regain control of Ekurhuleni residents' money”.
The ANC has written a letter to council speaker Raymond Dhlamini to request a no-confidence motion in Campbell.
The party claims Campbell failed to consult communities when drawing up budgets.
Multi-party coalition spokesperson Siyanda Makhubo says the opposite is true, and the coalition government has made significant progress in delivering on its commitments over the past 10 months.
"The deliberate interventions by the new government have been so effective that since taking office, Mayor Campbell and her team have achieved what the ANC failed to do in over 20 years. The ANC’s motion of no confidence is nothing but a ploy to regain control of the people of Ekurhuleni’s hard earned money and reverse the great work of the multiparty coalition administration.
“The ANC’s priority is not the people; they are focused on looting," says Makhubo.
