One doctor was left in a critical condition and had to undergo surgery.

In the latest incident, Limpopo Health Department spokesperson Neil Shikwambani says a doctor was assaulted.

"Its almost the same modus operandi, they broke in at the back of the hospital, broke the palisade and then they went into the doctor's cottages. They broke the doors with a crowbar and ransacked the house while pointing at the doctors with guns. Nobody sustained injuries, but one doctor was assaulted, but she is traumatised and physically, she is okay" says Shikwambani.

He says the robbers got away with a plasma TVs, cell phones and laptops.

About eleven houses were robbed.

"We suspect it could be a syndicate because if you looked at how they operate its almost the same way. We don't think we are dealing with sporadic cases, we think its well executed. The way they operate and the times they carry out these attacks look like the same in all facilities."
