Baby Siwaphiwe kidnapping suspects appear in court
Updated | By Puseletso Petersen
There wasn't an empty seat in court room 10 at the Durban Magistrates Court where the mother of baby Siwaphiwe and a man appeared in connection with her kidnapping this morning.
Sibongile Mbambo and Phumlani Mbokazi face charges relating to the hijacking and kidnapping of the one-month-old child.
Mbambo's legal representative was not in court.
She told Judge Mohamed Motala she didn't know why.

Judge Motala postponed the case until Wednesday so that a paternity test can be conducted to determine who the father is of little Siwaphiwe is.
A third suspect - a woman - who was taken into custody after police intercepted a car at Mariannhill Toll Plaza early yesterday morning - has not made an appearance today.
Reports that Siwaphiwe was taken by two hijackers in the Durban CBD on Friday sparked a massive police search that also involved members of the community.
There was anger and disappointment when officers found the new-born with her mother.
Meanwhile, a group of angry protesters gathered outside the court calling for justice for baby Siwaphiwe.
