‘Badly damaged’ cables to blame for Queenswood outage
Updated | By Selaki Ledwaba
The City of Tshwane says its electricians are on site to fix severely damaged cables that has led to a power outage in the Queenswood area.

Queenswood had been without electricity since Thursday.
Some residents have claimed that the city has been slow to respond to the outage, and that its technicians only attended to the problem on Sunday afternoon.
The city’s spokesperson, Lindela Mashego, said the team that was supposed to be on-site was deployed to a different part of the city.
“The power failure in Queenswood was resolved on Sunday. However, another fault occurred due to badly damaged cables,” said Mashego.
The city could not say how long it would take for power to be restored.
