Bodies of missing couple found in Soweto river
Gauteng police have appealed for information to assist their investigations after the bodies of a missing couple were found in a river in Soweto on Wednesday.
The man and woman were reported missing nearly two weeks ago.
They were found inside their car which was trapped inside the river.
Gauteng police spokesperson Mavela Masondo says an inquest docket has been opened.
“The duo was last seen together on the 2nd of February, and they have been reported missing. It is not clear at this stage how the vehicle landed in the river. Police are appealing to anyone who might have information that can help in the investigation to please call the nearest police station or call crime stop on 08600 10111,” Masondo appealed.
