Body of missing KZN toddler recovered from sewer

The body of a 4-year old toddler was recovered from a sewer in KwaZulu-Natal on Sunday.
Mlando Zuma was reported missing close to two weeks ago.
The toddler was last seen playing at a house in Pietermaritzburg, sporting khaki short pants and a blue t-shirt with a hat.
KZN police spokesperson Thembeka Mbhele says an inquest docket has been opened.
“We are still waiting for the post-mortem results that will determine the cause of death,” she says.
On Monday, locals gathered outside the house where the child was found and set the house alight.
“We are appealing to community not to take law into their own hands. The acts of vigilantism will not be tolerated in our province.”
