Body of Limpopo woman found in pit toilet
Police in Limpopo are searching for a suspect linked to the murder of a woman at Ha-Lambani Mahagala.
According to Limpopo police spokesperson Mavela Masondo, the woman’s body was found inside a pit toilet at her home on Sunday evening.
The body was found covered with a blanket.
Masondo said family members alerted the community, after which police and emergency medical services were called to the scene.
The body was later recovered from the pit toilet.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the woman had suffered injuries to her face and head.
Masondo said detectives followed up on information and went to the suspect’s home, but he had already fled the scene.
He added that police are continuing efforts to trace and arrest the suspect as investigations continue.
