Body of Pretoria principal found in Winterveldt
The Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi is set to visit H.L.
Setlalentoa Secondary School in Ga-Rankuwa on Monday morning following the
death of the school’s principal.
Moses Kadiege’s body was found abandoned in Winterveldt on Sunday after he left home the previous day to visit some friends.
The circumstances leading to his death are being investigated.
Lesufi will also visit the Principal's family.
“We are disheartened by the untimely death of our revered principal, and we wish to convey our sincerest condolences to the school community and his beloved family,” he said.
Education activist Hendrick Makaneta said community members are traumatised by the incident
“We urge law enforcement agencies to work around the clock and bring perpetrators to book and to ensure that the perpetrators are put behind bars for life.
“The communities which were impacted by the late principal will be traumatised for many decades to come. Principal Kadiege did not deserve to be slain. He was a beacon of hope to hundreds of thousands of learners.
“We owe it to humanity to ensure that Kadiege gets justice as soon as possible.”
