Bosasa property to be auctioned
Updated | By Lindiwe Mpanza
Property belonging to the embattled company Bosasa, now known as African Global Operations, will go under the hammer from Wednesday.
The three-day auction by Park Village Auctions includes large properties, vehicles, electronics, copper plant and office equipment.
In February the corruption-tainted company was put into liquidation after both FNB and Absa announced they would be closing all its accounts due to corruption allegations.
Bosasa has been fingered in large-scale corruption at the commission of inquiry into state capture.
Director at Park Village Auctions Clive Lazarus says the first day of the auction will start with approximately 120 vehicles, the second day will see the Bosasa premises and copper plants being sold and security equipment and household furniture will be sold on the last day.
Lazarus adds the money that will be made from the auction will be going to liquidators.
