Calls for justice following young Limpopo mother’s brutal murder
Limpopo MEC for Social Development Nkakareng Rakgoale has called for justice to be served following the killing of a young mother in the province.
Rakgoale made the call when she visited the family of 22-year old Grace Mudau, who was allegedly stabbed to death on Saturday by her boyfriend at Ha-Mutsha-Kwekwe village, outside Thohoyandou.
Limpopo police’s Motlafela Mojapelo says Mudau’s body was found with multiple stab wounds in her boyfriend's kraal.
"Preliminary investigations were conducted and revealed that the deceased might have been killed elsewhere and the body then dumped at the scene," says Mojapelo.
The boyfriend was subsequently arrested and is expected to appear in Thohoyandou Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.
Rakgoale says she hopes the family will get justice.
"We are happy that the perpetrator has been arrested and is appearing in court. We hope that justice will be served as the family is going through pain and a very poor and difficult situation, we can see that she was going to be the hope of the family.”
