Cape Town couple arrested for drugs
A husband and wife were arrested in Cape Town on Friday for allegedly dealing in drugs and the illegal possession of ammunition, Western Cape police said.
The 33-year-old man and 40-year-old woman were arrested in Katberg Road, Heideveld around 5am, following a tip-off, Constable Noloyiso Rwexana said.
When police gained access to the house and searched it they found a bag containing 590 Mandrax tablets. Police also discovered 59 rounds of 9mm ammunition, three .45 rounds and R5680 in cash.
The couple was expected to appear in the Athlone Magistrate's Court soon.
