Capitec 'bank of the year'
Updated | By Jacaranda FM news
Capitec Bank has been rated the best bank in the world for the second successive year in the Lafferty Group's Global Bank Quality Benchmark.
The Lafferty Group's ratings are based on a bank's business model, which considers strategy, culture and management.
Capitec Bank is the only bank in the world to achieve five stars, beating out local contenders Standard Bank, Absa, Nedbank and FirstRand.
The bank's Francois Viviers says the reason Capitec won bank of the year is due to its offering of simplified and transparent banking.
