Case against NW ‘cop killers’ set for pre-trial
Updated | By Sibahle Motha
The case against four men arrested in connection with the murder of two police officers in North West has been set down for trial.
The men were arrested after the bodies of Constable Simon Ngakaemang Ntsekeletsa and Sergeant Mojalefa Horatius Molete were found in a burnt-out state vehicle near Ganyesa last year.
The pair, who were on patrol duty at the time, were reported missing after busting a group of men suspected of stealing goats.
However, Tsekeletsa and Molete never made it back to the police station.

Police arrested Benjamin Jacobs, Jeremiah Mongale, Rapulana Keikantse, Matthews Modukane and a 16-year-old when they discovered the deceased firearm, two cell phones, and SIM cards at the home of one of the accused.
Spokesperson for the NPA in North West Henry Mamothame says a pre-trial hearing will be held in August.
“Their defence team was provided with an indictment, detailing all charges against the accused. Investigations have been completed and the state and the defence attorneys are expected to complete all outstanding matters before the trial can resume.
“Police investigations are nearing completion, as the state is only awaiting DNA test results.”
