The case against six people accused of robbing and killing a
22-year-old e-hailing driver in Tshwane last month, has been postponed.
Dikeledi Mphela, Goitsione Machidi, McClaren Mushwana, Tumishang Mabutla, Ofentse Senwamadi, and Thabang Mothwa were arrested after the dash cam footage of the incident was widely shared on social media.
Gauteng police said preliminary investigations indicated that two passengers had requested an e-hailing trip from Nigerian national Isaac Satlat before he was killed.
The stolen vehicle and Satlat’s body were later discovered in Atteridgeville on the same day.
The accused are facing a charge of premeditated murder and robbery with aggravating circumstances.
The group made a brief appearance before the Pretoria Magistrates Court on Tuesday, where the matter was postponed to 03 June 2026 for further investigation.
All of the accused will remain in custody after they abandoned bail.
