Cele: Fired ANC employee linked to three heists

Cele says the former African National Congress (ANC) employee arrested in
connection with a cash-in-transit heist in Soweto has also been linked to other
heists.
Errol Velile Present was fired by the ANC after he appeared in court in connection with a heist in Dobsonville.
Cele said on Wednesday that Present is linked to at least three other heists.
Cele and national police commissioner Khehla Sithole briefed the media on attempts to crack the whip in crime-ridden parts of the Western Cape.
Cele says Present has been linked to two heists in North West.

"He has jumped the caught twice (sic). One was drunken driving and he was supposed to appear (in court) but he did not.”
Cele added that his co-workers at the ANC had suspicions about Present prior to his arrest.
Present and his three co-accused have already appeared in court and were remanded in custody.
They are expected to apply for bail at the end of the month.
