Cele heads to Kliptown following Operation Dudula clashes

Police Minister Bheki Cele will visit Kliptown on Wednesday after a person was killed during clashes between the community and members of Operation Dudula.
Cele will receive a report from Gauteng police commissioner Elias Mawela on the violent clashes.
"The Ministry of Police is deeply concerned about the violent clashes and shootings that have occurred in the Kliptown policing precinct and surrounding areas, in the Soweto township of Gauteng," says spokesperson Lirandzu Temba.
"The minister will receive a report on the shooting incidents and also outline a workable solution to the growing illegal activities that are sighted as possible motives for the violent confrontations and deadly shootings."

It's alleged that on Monday, Operation Dudula members and residents of Pimville clashed with residents of Chicken Farm informal settlement in Kliptown.
The clashes came amid accusations of electricity cables theft the area.
Several shots were fired, leaving one person dead and another one wounded.
