Cele: There is no such a thing as a permanent minister
Updated | By Mmangaliso Khumalo
Police Minister Bheki Cele says that he is ready for change.

The longstanding minister is not expected to return to Parliament for its seventh administration.
The ANC lost its outright majority for the first time since the dawn of democracy following last week’s election.
It must now form a coalition government with opposition parties.
Cele told the SABC it’s now time for reflection.
“There is a start, and the end has arrived, and I left home to come and work and if work is no longer there, I will go home reflect and see how you go forward. But life has got many streams, you can’t be kicking the dust when the time has arrived as if you didn’t know that the time will come.
“When I was in exile, I never dreamt that I would one day be a minister. It has come, it has happened, just be grateful be humble, go home and keep quiet instead of moving around making noise as if someone told you that you would be a permanent minister…there is no such thing. There is a beginning and an end, so what?”, added Cele.
Other long-serving ministers who also won’t be returning to parliament include Naledi Pandor, Thandi Modise, Thulas Nxesi, Pravin Gordhan, Ebrahim Patel and Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma.
