Cele wants full report on arrest of lawyer in Senzo Meyiwa trial

Police Minister Bheki Cele has requested a full report from National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola on the arrest of the defence lawyer in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial.
Advocate Malesela Teffo was arrested shortly after Thursday’s proceedings in the High Court in Pretoria for allegedly failing to appear in court on charge of trespassing.
In an afternoon of high drama, a group of heavily armed police officers waited for court proceedings to adjourn before swooping on him.
Teffo has blamed the police minister Bheki Cele for his arrest.
"It is part of harassment, as I told the court earlier on and the so-called warrant of arrest is from January this year and why are they only arresting me now? They are arresting me because I am in this case, Police Minister Bheki Cele doesn't want me on this case."
Teffo is expected to appear in the Hillbrow Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
