Community mob accused of killing 2 men in North West
Updated | By Lulutho Mkosi
North West police say community members of Molelema village are believed to be responsible for the murder of two men in the area.
Police say that the mob allegedly bombarded a house in the village in the early hours of Wednesday morning, ultimately killing two men, aged 26 and 30.
This comes after community members demanded two suspects accused of stabbing 19-year-old Onthatile Ntlhaeng be handed over to them.
However, the suspects that are accused of robbing and killing the 19-year-old remain in police custody and will appear the Taung Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

Police spokesperson, Sabata Mokgwabone says police officers refused to hand over the suspects, which ultimately led to the killing of the two other men in the community.
“The police were attacked by about 60 community members of Molelema village,” said Mokgwabone.
“It was after the police had left the village…that the mob allegedly attacked a house and ultimately killed (the) two men."
No one has been arrested at this stage in connection with the murder of the two men.
