The R1.5trillion merger will create the world’s largest brewer.

The deal has been approved subject to a wide range of conditions.

The tribunal says the conditions are for the most part similar to those proposed by the Competition Commission in its recommendation and those contained in an earlier agreement between the merging parties and three government ministries, namely Economic Development, Trade and Industry and Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.

Last month, the Competition Commission recommended the deal be approved with conditions to protect competitors and prevent job losses.

The deadline for the deal was extended numerous times.

In May, the EU gave the merger its stamp of approval.
