Condolences pour in following death of Jackson Mthembu’s daughter

Condolences are pouring in from across the political spectrum following the death of the daughter of ANC chief whip Jackson Mthembu.
Mthembu confirmed in a tweet on Wednesday that his eldest daughter Khwezi took her own life at the parliamentary village outside Cape Town.
The ANC’s Nonceba Mhlauli says Mthembu was on his way home when he received a call from one of his daughters who informed him about Khwezi’s death.
She was 25-years-old.
"This is a very tragic and painful experience for the family, the family has requested that South Africans keep them in their prayers during this difficult time," says Mhlauli.
Democratic Alliance (DA) leader Mmusi Maimane has also conveyed his message of condolences to the Mthembu family saying that no parent deserves to bury their own child.
"It a great sadness and a lost, to my friend and colleague Mr. Mthembu and to his family, I really do send my condolences on behalf of the party and members of parliament.
"This sadness that we would never wish upon any citizen or any family, " Maimane said.
The National Freedom Party (NFP) have also conveyed their condolences to the Mthembu family.
The party's spokesperson Sabelo Sigdu says the NFP is calling on all parents to spend quality time with their children despite having a busy schedule.
"It is imperative that parents always put their families in their diaries, depression amongst the youth and teenagers is real.
"As the party, we put our political differences aside and truly sympathize with the family, this is a very sad loss for the Mthembu family.”
Messages of support have also been pouring in on social media.
My brother and fellow MP. No words can describe, no parent should ever bury their own child. I send you my deepest condolences to you and your family. You are in my prayers.

May God be your strength & comfort during this difficult time, moreso because as a parent the expectation is always that your children will bury you and not the other way around!
You are in our our thoughts & prayers.
Condolences...❤
My condolences Mr Mthembu and family, God is your comforter. May her soul Rest In Peace 🙏
