COSA pledges support for Omotoso ahead of retrail
Updated | By Lulutho Mkosi
Christians Organisation of South Africa (COSA) has pledged its support for Nigerian pastor Timothy Omotoso ahead of his retrial.
Omotoso and his co-accused Zukiswa Sitho and Lusanda Sulani are facing 97 charges ranging from rape to human trafficking.
The court case, presided over by a new judge following the recusal of judge Mandela Makaula, was postponed to Wednesday after the defence requested more documents from the state.
The controversial pastor will appear again in the Port Elizabeth High Court on Wednesday.

COSA president Pastor Mosoana Derick believes there has been foul play involving the witness statements.
“COSA is a Christian political party, it is a Christian biblical ethic to support one another when facing trials and tribulations.
“The reverend remains innocent to us and to the church. For that, we have to support him.”
COSA members will be attending the trail in support of Omotoso.
