Former South African Airways (SAA) chair Dudu Myeni was charged with obstruction of justice after she named a protected witness while testifying at the commission of inquiry into state capture.
Myen, who pleaded guilty in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, has been ordered to pay a R120 000 fine, or face two years in prison.
Half of the amount is suspended for five years.
She named the witness, who was only known as Mr X, despite being cautioned that the person needs to remain anonymous.
