Covid-19 closes Waltloo licensing centre in Tshwane

The City of Tshwane has confirmed that the Waltloo licensing centre in Silverton has temporarily closed its doors due to a suspected case of Covid-19.
The city’s spokesperson Lindela Mashigo says employees have been advised to isolate at home.
“During the disinfection and deep cleaning of workplaces, all employees housed at the Waltloo licensing centre has been advised to remain at home and take the necessary precautionary measures to observe occupational health and safety directives as well as protocols related to Covid-19.”
Mashigo says license holders with appointments will not be affected by the suspension of the centre.

“However, all scheduled driving license tests will not be affected by the suspension of operations. The licensing centre will reopen for operation as soon as disinfection process has been completed and further updates will be issued.”
Centurion, Akasia, and Bronkhorstspruit licensing centres remain open to assist any residents with temporary licenses, registration, and licensing of motor vehicles.
