Covid-19 recovery rate increases even further

South Africa’s Covid-19 recovery rate has increased to 88% in the last 24 hours leading up to Thursday.

The number of cumulative Covid-19 infections has increased to 633 015 with recoveries standing at 554 887.
Statistics released by Health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize show that 2 420 new infections were recorded in the 24 hours leading up to Thursday evening.

A further 174 Covid-19 related deaths have also been reported, bringing the cumulative number of fatalities to 14 563.
The Western Cape remains the province with the most number of fatalities, followed by Gauteng, the Western and Eastern Cape.
