SA's Covid-19 recovery rate moves to 88,6%

South Africa’s coronavirus recovery has remained stable at 88.6% for a consecutive third day.
According to the latest daily report by Health Minister Zweli Mkhize, there have been 567 729 recoveries since Covid-19 was first detected in the country at the beginning of March.
The latest report shows that the total number of Covid-19 infections stands at 640 441.
There were another 82 Covid-related deaths in the 24 hours leading up to Tuesday evening.
This brings the total number of fatalities to 15 086.
Twenty-seven deaths were from KwaZulu-Natal, 15 from Gauteng, 9 from the Eastern Cape, 6 from the Free State, 5 from the Northern Cape and 20 from the Western Cape.
The total number of tests conducted to date is 3 821 162.
