The team bus was involved in a crash on the R21 while returning from a 3-0 victory over Chippa United at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

According to a statement released by the club on Tuesday morning, Ouaddou and the staff had stopped to assist after witnessing a collision between two vehicles when they were hit by a third car, causing serious injuries.

All five were immediately transported to the hospital, where they are currently receiving medical attention.

No fatalities were reported.

Pirates said the coach and staff members are in close contact with the medical team.

“At this stage, our priority is the health and well-being of our colleagues. The club has made arrangements to ensure that the affected individuals and their families receive all the necessary support during this difficult time.

“We ask for privacy and respect for those involved as they focus on recovery. Further updates will be communicated when appropriate.”
