Two men are on the run after shooting dead a security guard and wounding another in Cape Town, Western Cape police said on Friday.
Constable Phindiswa Gcume said the armed men approached a bread delivery truck at a spaza shop in Sihlanu Avenue, Nyanga, around 5am on Thursday.
They shot at the two security guards who were offloading the bread.
One guard died on the scene. The other was shot in both legs and was taken to hospital.
Gcume said the men took the guards' firearms and fled the scene. No money was taken.
