DA considering legal steps over Gupta emails
Updated | By MornéJK
The Democratic Alliance (DA) is considering legal action against President Jacob Zuma and the controversial Gupta family after leaked emails seemingly confirms allegations of the state being captured.

The party's Graham Charters says the revelations in the "Gupta-emails" provide concrete proof of an alternative shadow state led by President, the Gupta family and some cabinet ministers.
"The powers and resources of the state have been outsourced to a very powerful family and their affiliates for the benefit of a few.
"These emails gives a paper trail to which certain individuals can be held liable and brought before the law," he says.
The DA has already consulted with their lawyers over possible legal action.
"Now the time has come for those who use the state to their own benefit to be held to account and face the full might of the law - whatever that might be.
"We will be announcing the precise legal action, against who and how we will be proceeding in that way," Charters says.
