The Democratic Alliance is calling for an early election.
It's knocking on the online doors of as many South Africans as possible.
The opposition party's online petition has garnered just over 4000 signatures since Sunday.
DA spokesperson Phumzile van Damme insists South Africans have lost confidence in the African National Congress (ANC).
"We believe the ANC has lost the confidence of the majority of South Africans, and that Parliament requires a new beginning through the ballot box," van Damme says.
The DA has urged South Africans to support the petition so that President Jacob Zuma's term can be cut short.
"South Africans must be allowed to have their say and by supporting the DA's motion you can help to ensure that South Africa does not have to withstand the devastating effects of Jacob Zuma's presidency for another two years," van Damme explains.
Opposition parties failed to pass a vote of no confidence against the president earlier this month.
Zuma survived the motion by the skin of his teeth.
It's unclear how the petition will be used to unseat the president.
