DA: R5bn lost to Covid-19 corruption
Updated | By Neo Motloung
The Democratic Alliance (DA) believes some R5 billion has already been lost to Covid-19 corruption.

The official opposition briefed the media on the country’s health system during the coronavirus pandemic on Wednesday.
DA chief whip Natasha Mazzone says the party will do everything in its power to hold accountable those guilty of tender corruption.
The party has called on National Assembly Speaker Thandi Modise to convene a debate of national importance to allow Parliament to assert its oversight role.
"Many political figures who sit on the benches of Parliament will have a lot to answer in this regard.
"Including President Cyril Ramaphosa for his so involvement and key ANC figures, such as Ace Magashule, Nomvula Mokonyane, Bandile Masuku and Khusela Diko," said Mazzone.
The DA also wants an ad hoc committee to be convened to deal with the issue of oversight during the pandemic.
"These corruption allegations have reaffirmed the need for such a committee," said Mazzone.
