“We want to build a capital city that works for all its people. One that improves the lives of the poor and creates the opportunities for people to move up in life. We know in our hearts of hearts that this city will only be a good place for us to live in if it's a good place for us to live in."
Brink named the city's precarious financial position as his top priority.
"We have to get control of Tshwane's finances and when our spending in line with what the city can realistically collect. This is an important task as responding to the findings of the auditor-general."
