Death toll in Tshwane bus crash rises to 15

An early morning collision between a truck and a bus on the M17 Hornsnek Road in Tshwane has claimed the lives of 15 people.
Thirty-seven others were injured in the Friday morning crash.
Tshwane emergency services spokesperson Charles Mabaso says the injuries range from moderate to critical.
"The total number of patients injured is 37 and with 15 deceased. Out of the 15 deceased eight are females and Seven are male. On the 37 injured, 26 sustained minor to moderate injuries, four sustained moderate to serious injuries, seven sustained critical injuries."
He adds that the injured patients have been transported to nearby health facilities.
The M17 road remains closed between the N4 on ramp and off ramp and the K8, Rosslyn to allow the recovery of the deceased, the bus and truck as well as on scene investigations.
The road closure is expected to last more than 5 hours, says Mabaso
