Decrease in Covid-19 active cases over the last 24 hours
There has been a noticeable decrease in the number of Covid-19 cases recorded during the latest 24-hour period.
Statistics released by the National Institute of Communicable Diseases (NICD) on Monday evening, show that 5 644 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in just one day.
This is more than 2 000 infections cases than Sunday.

Although the number of Covid-19 cases have decreased, deaths continue to increase.
A further 235 people died of Covid-19 related deaths, bringing the national death toll to 81 830.
