The office of the Deputy President has confirmed that David Mabuza is recovering from Covid-19 at home.
This is after rumors emerged on social media on Sunday that Mabuza had passed on.
However, his office has rubbished the rumors.
“The office of the deputy president has received numerous calls from concerned South Africans regarding the health status of Deputy President David Mabuza.

“We would like to assure South Africans that the Deputy President is at home and well.
“Anything contrary to this is a malicious and an unfortunate rumor,” says spokesperson Matshepo Seedat.
Last week, Mabuza was meant to answer questions in the National Assembly, but could not attend the sitting because of ill health.
