Devastation and loss after East Rand fire

Some 900 people have been left destitute when a fire spread through the Max informal settlement in Pomona near Kempton Park on Monday night.
Ekurhuleni Metro Emergency Services and fire fighters from nearby areas were deployed to help in the battle against the flames that destroyed 200 shacks.
