The husband of Lesedi FM presenter Dimakatso Ratselane has abandoned his bail application.
Dimakatso was found with multiple stab wounds in Bloemfontein almost two weeks ago.
It’s alleged she had a heated argument with husband Mackenzie Ratselane, who allegedly retaliated with brutal force and left her for dead.
The media personality was found by residents and her friends in a critical condition and rushed to a nearby hospital.
Spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) in the Free State, Phaladi Shuping, says Mackenzie made a brief appearance in the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.
The case was postponed to March 23 for further investigations.
Mackenzie will be remanded in custody until then.
“He faces four charges of attempted murder, kidnapping, unlawful possession of firearm and ammunition,” says Shuping.
“The state does not rule out the possibility of more charges being added against the accused.”
