Metrorail commuters in Pretoria west will experience delays
lasting up until possibly Friday, following a derailment.
Metrorail says a goods train transporting wheat derailed in Pretoria West on Saturday and spilled its contents across all train lines.
Gauteng Metrorail Spokesperson, Tony Games, says overhead mast poles were also damaged, affecting trains operating between Pretoria- Mabopane, De Wildt and Saulsville.
"Trains that are affected are trains coming from Mabopane, De Wildt and Saulsville," says Games.

Games says Metrorail has implemented a shuttle service between Saulsville and Hercules.
"On the De Wildt and Mabopane tracks, those trains are routed via Capital Park to Pretoria Station."
