Donations pour in for Pretoria fire victims
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
Donations continue to pour in for those displaced after a devastating fire at the Plastic View informal settlement, east of Pretoria.
More than 300 shacks were gutted in the blaze in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Hundreds were left without a roof over their head.
Gauteng premier David Makhura visited the area along with other government officials and NGOs to coordinate disaster relief efforts.
A father who lost his son in the fire, said he was devastated to hear of his son's untimely passing.
Five people were killed in the blaze.
It's believed the fire broke out after a candle fell over.
