South African Weather Service forecaster Kgolofelo Mahlangu says the cooler weather will mostly affect the eastern regions of Mpumalanga and Limpopo.

"On Saturday those temperatures will even drop further in the west of Limpopo, Mpumalanga and Gauteng and North West is included.
"On Sunday temperatures will start improving as the high-pressure system moves away from us.”
Mahlangu says the reason for the drop is due to high-pressure system from the south Atlantic bringing in some cooler air.
She says the drop in temperatures at this time of the year is normal as the country transitions into winter.
