Malema briefed the media at the party's headquarters in Marshalltown on Thursday.

The EFF leader said even though South Africa is in crisis with Ramaphosa at the helm, he is not being held accountable for his various failures.

This includes the Phala Phala saga, which saw the theft of a large amount of foreign currency from his private farm in Limpopo in 2020.

“The EFF will approach the courts to compel the Reserve bank, SA Revenue Service, the Financial Intelligence Centre and Ramaphosa to honestly answer all the questions sent to him by the party,” Malema said.

“The EFF will approach the courts to compel Parliament to conduct a thorough and transparent investigation of all the crimes committed by Ramaphosa with the aim to build a solid case of impeachment.”

Malema said the EFF will also move to institute a motion of no confidence against Ramaphosa in Parliament.

“The EFF will approach all political parties in Parliament, including the ANC, to engage on a motion of no confidence against Ramaphosa as the President of South Africa. The EFF will also form part of all the progressive formations and organisations in South Africa to plan and engage on a national shutdown which seeks to remove Ramaphosa from office.”

The EFF leader will also approach Parliament to ask it to establish a committee to inspect the farm.

“We want just not a motion of no confidence, that’s why we are engaging everyone. We had the committee during the investigation of Nkandla. We are not asking for something that was never done before, we want to go to Phala Phala farm.

“We cannot hold the president accountable properly if we don’t know how the bed looks like. We want to check if those couches can hide money, and from there they must call him to answer in Parliament.

“Cyril must leave with nothing.”
