Elderly couple killed on farm
An elderly couple has been shot and killed on their farm in Limpopo.
Police say a 66-year-old woman and her 69-year-old husband were fatally shot at the Kalkpoort Game Farm.
It’s believed an unknown number of armed suspects also ransacked the couple’s home in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Limpopo police spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe says: “It is alleged that the couple were asleep at the farm when the suspects broke down the door and ransacked the house."
A relative discovered their bodies at 09:00 on Sunday.
Ngoepe says at this stage, it is not clear what was taken during the robbery.
Police investigations continue.
