Elderly man in court for alleged rape of a minor
A 61-year-old man accused of raping an 11-year-old girl has been remanded in custody for a formal bail hearing next week.
The suspect from Tafelkop in Bapeding allegedly raped the minor while she was on her way to the spaza shop.
It is alleged that the suspect grabbed the young girl and raped her.

The young girl reported the incident to her mother who subsequently reported the matter to the police.
The suspect will appear at the Motetema Magistrates court for the formal bail hearing next week.
