Elephant tramples man in Kruger National Park

A visitor to the Kruger National Park has died after being trampled by an elephant in the Kruger National Park.
The incident happened near Crocodile River at Malelane Gate on Saturday.
South African National Parks spokesperson JP Louw says the matter has been handed over to the South African Police Service for investigation.
“Events leading up to the incident are currently under investigation. Due to the sensitivity of this matter, we appeal to the public to refrain from posting any pictures or videos of the incident and victim.
“South African National Parks officials are at the scene to attend to the matter and support the family,” said Louw.
