Eskom implements stage 4 load shedding
Updated | By Lindiwe Mpanza
Power utility Eskom has announced that it will implement stage 4 load shedding from Friday at 14:00.
Spokesperson Dikatso Mothae says the rolling blackout is due to more units tripping, despite the fact that the ailing power utility had already implemented stage 2 load shedding on Thursday.
Eskom implemented stage 2 load shedding due to a shortage of capacity.
Mothae says the stage 4 load shedding is expected to continue until 06:0 on Saturday and there is also a high risk of power cuts over the weekend.
