Updated | By Mmangaliso Khumalo
Embattled power utility Eskom has suspended load shedding from Tuesday morning until 4pm.
This after the power utility on Sunday announced that Stage 1 load shedding was to be implemented on Tuesday until 4pm.
In a short statement, Eskom spokesperson Daphne Mokwena said load shedding had been suspended due to an improvement in available generation capacity.
“Load shedding will be suspended from 08:00 until 16:00 today.
“Thereafter, stage 4 load shedding will be implemented from 16:00 as per the latest schedule published previously. Eskom will communicate if any significant changes occur.”
